Paige Maxcy Wins H.O. Sargent Award

The H.O. Sargent Award is given to an FFA member who has promoted diversity among their FFA chapter and community. The state winner advances to national competition.

STATE WINNER: Paige Maxcy, Gresham FFA

Paige volunteers at Red River Riders, a stable that focuses on therapeutic horseback riding for the physically challenged. This past year, she helped her chapter incorporate "Super Nights," which are meetings in the evening that are designed to teach fellow chapter members the importance of diversity in the FFA. Maxcy hopes to someday have the entire Gresham FFA Chapter involved in the activity.

AWARD SPONSOR: Federated Youth Foundation
