| Over 91,500 Trees Planted in State-Wide FFA Service Project An effort by the Wisconsin State FFA Officer team to get area chapters around the state to plant up to 80,000 trees this spring has exceeded expectations. During the State FFA Convention in Madison on Tuesday, State FFA Vice President BJ Chrisler announced that participating chapters have pledged to plant 91,509 trees. "This is a great accomplishment," Chrisler told student delegates at the convention. "Not only are we beautifying our communities with these trees, they will also make Wisconsin a better place to live by creating oxygen, improving erosion rates, and saving energy." Chrisler says the
campaign was started as a way for the organization to celebrate its
80th anniversary this year. |
