Peggy Sue McNulty,
25, a 2003 graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Madison,
received her degree in International Relations and Political
Science. Peggy Sue grew up in Slinger on converted Wisconsin
farm land and became familiarized with the agriculture industry
through her friends from neighboring farms. She learned firsthand
the ins and outs of Wisconsin farm life through her coursework
in Dairy Science while at UW-Madison. It was here that she developed
a passion for agriculture and confirmed her appreciation of
the Wisconsin way of life. She volunteered as a mentor to help
acclimatize international students to Wisconsin culture and
was awarded an ‘International Leadership Certificate’
by the University. Peggy Sue spent her junior year in Freiburg,
Germany and traveled extensively throughout 13 countries during
her tenure there.
After graduating
from UW-Madison she continued her quest of higher education
and moved to Milwaukee to pursue an M.B.A at Marquette University
in the evenings while working full time as a Business Development
Representative for a West Allis company. Less than a year subsequent
to working in her position she was selected to serve businesses
in West Allis/West Milwaukee as the 2005 Miss West Allis/West
Milwaukee Chamber of Commerce. In this capacity Peggy Sue has
been able to speak for and encourage local business initiatives
through charity functions, business expos and community events.
Peggy Sue completed her M.B.A. in December 2005 and continues
to work in West Allis for Staff One Ltd. as a Business Development
Account Manager.
In her free time
she is the Co-Chair for the Annual Sleighbell Luncheon which
raises money for Children’s Hospital. She also finds enjoyment
in running and was a 2005 Boston Marathon Qualifier.
McNulty looks forward
to the opportunity to represent the agriculture industry. "There
is so much that I genuinely adore about my home state of Wisconsin.
I am sincerely excited about contributing my business background,
fresh perspective and sincere love for Wisconsin to this well
respected position” she said.
