Local Supporters to Earn Honorary FFA Membership
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 08/26/2014

The students attending the National FFA Convention in Louisville this fall aren't the only ones getting all the attention on stage. The organization is bestowing its Honorary American FFA Degree on nearly 200 teachers, supporters and alumni during a ceremony on October 31.

A small group of those recipients are from Wisconsin this year, including Monte Dunnum, Westby; Peter Engh, Westby; Rae Neil Halbur, Fond du Lac; Julie Larson, Viroqua; John Porior, Oshkosh; Jeff Agnew, Fort Atkinson; and Keith G. Kolpack, Barron.

Meanwhile, former State FFA Advisor Kevin Keith will earn a VIP Citation at the conference for his many years of service at the National FFA Organization.

The Honorary FFA Degree is the highest honor which the FFA can bestow on a non-member. Recipients are nominated by local chapters or by state and national FFA staff.

The recipients are presented with plaques to thank them for their dedication to youth leadership development.
