WMMB Now Taking Applications for New CEO
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 08/31/2016

Wisconsin's dairy check-off has begun the process of finding a new chief executive officer. Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board Chair Connie Seefeldt announced on Tuesday that the group is now taking applications from interested candidates to fill the position vacated by James Robson earlier this spring.

Board members hope to have a replacement named by the end of the year.

"The process by which we will select a CEO is well underway," Seefeldt said. "We have retained a recruiting firm with an outstanding reputation with a national reach in our effort to find a strong leader for the organization."

The WMMB Search Committee, comprised of the seven members of the Executive Committee and three additional board members, will conduct final interviews in early to mid-November with the anticipation that the chosen candidate will start after the New Year. As part of its search process, the panel has conducted informational meetings with farmer organizations and representatives of Wisconsin's dairy processing industry to identify key attributes and experiences the next CEO should have, as well as to highlight organizational priorities.

WMMB is looking for an executive with broad experience in development and administration of budgets and work plans, knowledge of human resources and organizational development, knowledge of the food industry, manufacturing, distribution, marketing and sales. Additional expertise is desired in digital marketing, strong public speaking and writing skills.

A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing or a related field, along with progressively responsible management experience is required.
