Corn, Soybeans Prices Up; Oats & Hay Down

The July 2015 average price received by farmers for corn in Wisconsin was $3.78 per bushel. That's according to the latest USDA Agricultural Prices report, which noted that price was 30-cents more than in June, but 50-cents below year ago levels.

The soybean price, at $9.79 per bushel, was up 35-cents from June, but down $3.61 from the previous July.

Oats were at $2.22 per bushel, down 60-cent from the previous month and $1.79 below last year.

And all hay prices in Wisconsin averaged $84.00 per ton in July, down $16.00 from June and $44.00 less than July 2014. The alfalfa hay price averaged $88.00 per ton in July, $17.00 lower for the month and $47.00 below the previous July. The other hay price averaged $74.00, $5.00 above June but a decrease of $31.00 from last year.
