Chippewa Valley Farm-City Day Slated for September 20
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 09/02/2014

The seventh annual Chippewa Valley Farm-City Day will be held on September 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at GJ Jerseys near Strum. The farm is owned by Gary and Josh Olson.

Organizers say that with so many people removed from the farm these days, and with agriculture being such an important part of everyday life, they invite the community to come back to the farm to learn where their food comes from.

Eau Claire, Chippewa and Dunn Counties rotate turns in having the annual Farm-City event to represent a variety of local farming operations in the Chippewa Valley.

Farm-City Day is an educational, interactive one-day event on a working farm. It's aimed at educating the community on where and how our food is produced, showing how agriculture has evolved and progressed over the last 50 years.

For more information or to sign-up for the event, call the Dunn County UW-Extension Office at 715-232-1636.
