Class III Milk Price Announced at $16.27

The USDA announced that the August Class III milk price was released at $16.27 per hundredweight.
That was down six-cents from July's price, and $5.98 below August 2014.
So far in 2015, the Class III price has averaged $16.07 cwt.
Meanwhile, the Class IV price was 25-cents lower than last month's price at $12.90, and was $10.99 less than August of last year.
Earlier this week, the USDA announced that Wisconsin farmers received an average price of $17.50 per hundredweight for their milk in July. That was 40 cents lower than the price received in June and is the lowest monthly price since June 2012.
