Ladsten to Succeed Hicken as DPI Ag Ed Consultant
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 10/18/2021

The Wisconsin Department of Education has announced the hiring of a new agriculture and natural resources education consultant. Sally (Albers) Ladsten has been chosen to work on the department's Career and Technical Education Team. She begins her duties on January 31, 2022.

Ladsten teaches agriculture and biology at Sauk Prairie High School, where she is also a co-advisor to the FFA chapter. She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-River Falls with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Education and minor in Biology Education. She also served as Wisconsin's FFA president from 2015-16.

In her new role, she will be responsible for providing leadership and consultation related to the improvement of elementary and secondary-agriculture, food, and natural resources education and contemporary career and technical education programs. The job also entails serving as the Wisconsin FFA Advisor.

Sally replaces the late-Jeff Hicken, who passed away earlier this year.
