Pocan, Baldwin Earn NFU Golden Triangle Awards
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 09/20/2019
The National Farmers Union announced the 2019 NFU Golden Triangle Award recipients, which is the organization's highest honor for government service. The award is given annually to members of Congress who have demonstrated outstanding leadership on
issues affecting family farmers, ranchers and rural communities.
From Wisconsin, both Rep. Mark Pocan and Senator Tammy Baldwin have been selected for the honor for a sixth time.
"We are proud of the work that Congressman Mark Pocan and Senator Tammy Baldwin have done on behalf of Wisconsin's family farmers," said WFU President Darin Von Ruden. "They recognize the importance of our agricultural community in Wisconsin
and have been great allies in the past year."
The awards were presented at a reception during NFU's recent legislative fly-In.
The Golden Triangle Award is based on NFU's symbol--a triangle with "legislation" and "cooperation" forming the sides and "education" the base. The awards have been presented annually since established in 1988.
