Nomination Deadline for Export Achievement Awards is Friday
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 01/28/2015

Wisconsin companies that have achieved success in exporting have until Friday to submit a nomination for the 2015 Governor's Export Achievement Award. The program, sponsored by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, recognizes businesses that have achieved extraordinary results in international markets or contributed to the state's ability to compete in the global economy.

While the deadline is just days away, the nomination process has been revamped and is easier than ever before. All companies need to do get started is visit inwisconsin.com/exportawards and describe their recent exporting accomplishments.

The submission should focus on a company's measurable export growth, innovative approaches that set the business apart from other exporters, and any significant contributions that benefit the overall state economy and trade development in Wisconsin.

Once the initial submissions are received, a panel of international trade experts will review them and select a group of semi-finalists who will move on to the next stage of the competition, where they will be asked to submit a more detailed application.

Award winners will be recognized at the annual Wisconsin International Trade Conference in Milwaukee this spring.

Coordinators say any agricultural, forestry, industrial, high-tech or service enterprise successfully engaging in or assisting in exporting Wisconsin-origin products or services is eligible for nomination.
