Winners Announced for Insight FS College Scholarships

Insight FS has awarded ten $1,500 scholarships to high school seniors and college students pursuing a degree in agriculture.

"We want to play a vital role in the future of agriculture, and in order to do that we need to support the industry through education and awareness of the diverse career options available," said Insight FS Manager Dave Mottet. "These students are going to support the farmers of the future, a role that continues to shift with more technology, data utilization and changing landscape. We want to be there with them on that journey."

This year's recipients include Morgyn Haumschild, Milladore, UW-River Falls; Audrey Pelikan, Sullivan, UW-Platteville; Elizabeth Katzman, Whitewater, Northeast Technical College; Lindsey Propst, Beaver Dam, UW-Madison; Tiffany Neuheisel, Spring Green, Southwest Wisconsin Technical College; Nicole Plenty, Delavan, UW-Platteville; Madison Russell, Shullsburg. Oklahoma State University; Cassandra Wendt, Lodi, UW-Madison Farm and Industry Short Course; Matthew Fischer, Owen, UW-River Falls; and Brenna Murry, Mosinee, UW-River Falls.

Applicants were evaluated on academic achievement, active participation in local and state clubs or groups promoting agriculture and environmental stewardship, leadership potential, and essay responses. To be eligible, student must be the dependent of an employee or patron of Insight FS.
