Top WI Angus Breeders Collectively Registered 1,500 Head of Cattle

The top ten Wisconsin producers who registered the most Angus beef cattle recorded a total of 1,560 Angus with the American Angus Association during fiscal year 2020.

CEO Mark McCully says Angus breeders across the nation registered 305,531 head of Angus cattle.

"Despite a challenging year, our Angus breeders continue to see strong demand for Angus genetics," McCully said. "Our members are committed to providing genetic solutions to the beef cattle industry that maintain our long-held position as an industry leader."

The top owner-recorders in Wisconsin include Woodhill Farms Inc, Viroqua; Riley Bros Farms, Darlington; Nick & Roxanne Hull, Stoughton; Tracy & Mark Pedretti, Prairie Du Chien; Marda Angus Farm, Lodi; Kevin L Retallick, Glen Haven; Kuhle Farms, Hazel Green; Gaffney Cattle, Barneveld; Emerald Lane Angus, Edgar; Bula-Gieringer Farms, Coloma; and Melvin Mason & Sons, Glen Haven.

The American Angus Association is the nation's largest beef breed organization, serving nearly 25,000 members across the United States, Canada and several other countries.
