Wisconsin Operations Among WDE's Virtual Farm Tours

Some of the most efficient dairy operations from coast to coast will be featured in World Dairy Expo's 2008 Virtual Farm Tour program. Attendees can take advantage of touring operations from Wisconsin, Michigan, New York, Oregon, South Dakota, Washington and Ontario, Canada without ever leaving the Expo grounds.
The tours will be presented Tuesday through Saturday in the Exhibition Hall meeting rooms. Producers will present a half-hour video or pictorial overview of their operations, featuring everything from
management practices and on-farm processing to employee relations and manure management. Time for questions and answers will follow. There is no cost for these tours.
Featured farms include Horsens Homestead Farms, Cecil, Wisconsin; NorSwiss Dairy, Inc., Summit, South Dakota; Forest Glen Jerseys/Forest Glen Oaks, Dayton, Oregon; Breckenridge Farm, Everson, Washington; T & H Dairy II (878 cows) & Sandy Ridge Dairy (560 cows), Fowler, Michigan; State University of New York - Cobleskill, Cobleskill, New York; Lardinois Farms LLC, Pulaski, Wisconsin;
and Semex, Guelph, Ontario Canada.
World Dairy Expo is being held September 30 through October 4 at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison.
