ASA/BASF Offers College Scholarship
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 09/17/2008

The American Soybean Association will once again be offering a scholarship to high school seniors. The SOY Scholarship program will reward a one-time $5,000 scholarship to an eligible high school senior who intends to declare agriculture as a degree area of study at the accredited college or university of their choice for the 2009-2010 school years. The scholarship will be distributed in two increments of $2,500 each semester.

In order to apply for the scholarship, applicants must be the son, daughter or grandchild of a current ASA member. Applicants must also meet high school GPA, standardized test and leadership activities requirements. In addition to these qualifications, applicants must write an essay about why they should be chosen and maintain a college-level GPA requirement in order to receive the full scholarship award.

The scholarship winner will be selected in December and officially announced at the Commodity Classic in February 2009.
