Landmark Services Co-op Acquires K&S Kustom Service
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 10/05/2016

The Cottage Grove-based Landmark Services Cooperative has purchased the assets of K&S Kustom Service, Inc. in Marshall. K&S provides farmers with seed, soil sampling, custom application, spreading fertilizers, crop protection and precision.

Founder Owen Storlie says the transition will offer their customers a wider selection of products, programs and technology.

"There were services that we did not handle such as seed treatment, grid soil sampling, VRT applications and financing options through Verity Business Solutions," said Storlie.

Landmark Co-op provides agronomy, animal nutrition, grain, energy and retail products and services to over 15,000 members throughout southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois. Agronomy Vice President Dan Moehn says he welcomes the K&S customers to Landmark and believes it will be an impeccable fit for both sides.

"We have worked with Owen for some time and we are looking forward to continuing our relationship and supporting his customer base," Moehn said. "It's been a pleasure bringing these two organizations together to better service our growers."

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
