UW-Plattville Ag Students Present Internships
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 10/09/2015

Nearly 140 students participated in the second annual School of Agriculture Internship Night last week, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Platteville School of Agriculture. The event was held September 28 in Russell Hall.

"Internship Night provides an opportunity for students who have completed internships to showcase their learning experience to other students, especially those who will look for an internship in the future," said Dr. Michael Compton, director of the School of Agriculture. "It is also an opportunity to showcase collaborating employers and the many career positions they have available."

Participants took part in oral and poster sessions given to approximately 200 students, employers and UW-Platteville faculty.

In prior years, UW-Platteville ag students wrote a paper about their internship that was read by a faculty or staff member. Compton wanted to give students the opportunity to share how their internship impacted their life with their peers.
