Vernon County Woman Dies in Farm Mishap

A De Soto woman is dead after falling into a feed mixer on her family farm on Tuesday.
The Vernon County Sheriff's Department says 39-year-old Laura Groskreutz apparently fell into the machine while doing chores and was found by her husband a short time later.
The accident happened in the town of Sterling.
The Wheatland First Responders and Vernon County Sheriff's deputies responded to a call from Jeff Groskreutz.
The incident remains under investigation.
