New Dairy Business Innovation Group Offering Grants
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 12/03/2021

The newly created Dairy Business Innovation Alliance is offering its third round of industry grants to help dairy producers and processors in the region diversify, modernize or develop new products. Coordinated as a partnership between the Center for Dairy Research at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association, DBIA is available to help dairy-related businesses in the five states, including Wisconsin.

"These funds will help small dairy businesses grow and innovate, which has become even more critical for their success in these turbulent times," said CDR Director John Lucey.

DBIA will be distributing direct-to-business grants totaling $1 million. A grant review committee will review applications and make subsequent awards. Grants will be awarded for projects in increments up to $50,000.

Applications will be available starting February 1, 2022 and are due by March 31. Selected applicants will be notified later this spring. For more information, go to: https://www.cdr.wisc.edu/dbia

Over the past two years, DBIA administered nearly $1.5 million in 38 grants to dairy farms and businesses in all five participating states.
