Tuesday is Primary Day for Open Assembly Seats
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 10/21/2013

Voters in the 21st and 69th Assembly districts will be going to the polls tomorrow to narrow down the candidates running for the open seats vacated this fall by Mark Honadel from South Milwaukee and Majority Leader Scott Suder of Abbotsford.

Five Republicans are running in a primary election for Honadel's seat. They include Jason Arnold, South Milwaukee; Larry Gamble, Franklin; Ken Gehl, South Milwaukee; Chris Kujawa, South Milwaukee; and Jessie Rodriguez, Franklin.

Honadel left the position after 10 years at the State Capitol for a private-sector job. The district includes South Milwaukee, Oak Creek and part of Franklin. Elizabeth Coppola is the only Democrat in that race and will not face any challengers on Tuesday.

And four Republican candidates are running to replace Suder, who also resigned this year after 15 years in state government. Scott Noble, Marshfield; Tommy Dahlen, Granton; Alanna Feddick, Marshfield; and Bob Kulp, Stratford will square off for a chance to run against Democrat Kenneth Slezak of Neillsville.

The winner of each of the primaries will face off in the November 19 general election.
