Wisconsin FFA Members Win National Proficiency Awards

The Wisconsin FFA delegation is calling their trip to Indianapolis a success. During the closing days of the National FFA Convention, four students from the Badger State were named national winners in their Proficiency Award areas.
Winning individuals include Brandon Anding, Granton, Ag Mechanics Repair; Erica Helmer, Plymouth, Dairy Production; Zachary Olson, Adams Friendship, Diversified Horticulture; and Josh Anderson, Wisconsin Dells, Grain Production.
Eleven other Wisconsin students competed as national finalists in their proficiency award areas. They include Marcus Kolarik, Denmark, Agricultural Services; Amelia Hayden, Big Foot, Agriscience Research-Animal Systems; Taylor Eilers, Waupaca, Beef
Production; Matthew Kramer, Campbellsport, Dairy Production; Nick Leystra, Randolph Cambria-Friesland, Diversified Crop Production; Parker Massie, Barron, Diversified Livestock Production; Erin Montgomery, Waupaca, Equine Science; Dawson
Schulz, Randolph Cambria-Friesland, Forage Production; Casey Lobdell, Darlington-Sheep Production, Gage Rataczak, Randolph Cambria-Friesland, Turf Grass Management; and Elizabeth Knoebel, Jefferson, Vegetable Production.
Meanwhile, Nathan Leystra of the Randolph Cambria-Friesland FFA competed as a finalist for the American Star in Agricultural Placement award.
