Larsen Co-op Patrons Share in CHS Equity Redemption
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 10/22/2014

Eligible patrons of the New London-based Larsen Cooperative are among the recipients of about $4.4 million in equity redemptions as part of a recent distribution by CHS Inc. Larsen Co-op is a locally controlled retail division of CHS, which is the nation's leading farmer-owned co-op.

The distribution included $3.15 million back to eligible farmer-owners age 70 and older; and $1.3 million in equity retired as preferred stock.

"Through ownership in Larsen Cooperative, producers not only have access to the products and services supporting their operations, they also share in our success and that of the integrated CHS system," said Larsen General Manager LeRoy Peterson. "We are very proud to help producers grow their operations by delivering an economic return on the business they do with us."

During 2014, Larsen Co-op allocated a total of $2.7 million in patronage dividends to its members based on business done during the past fiscal year.
