Wisconsin Ag Connection - 10/23/2015

John Deere has announced plans to expand its home and commercial agricultural equipment facility in Horicon. As part of the project, the company will add 300,000 square feet to its existing facility to accommodate the relocation of its Janesville operations.

During a groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday, Horicon Mayor Steve Neitzel said the project will cost about $35 million and will create between 50-75 jobs.

The Wisconsin Economic Development Council will also extend tax credits toward the project, as well.

Deere & Co. currently employs more than 1,100 at the Horicon operation.
