WCMA Webinar Highlights New Inspection Protocols
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 11/25/2020

Members of the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association are being invited to take part in a free COVID-19 webinar next month to get an updated on new state inspection protocols and regulatory flexibilities, amid the ongoing pandemic.

The program takes place December 10 from 1:00-1:45 p.m., featuring food safety leaders with the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection.

"Open communication with industry regulators has been essential to uninterrupted dairy production in Wisconsin, throughout this challenging period," said WCMA Director John Umhoefer. "As policies continue to shift, WCMA is pleased to connect members with our food safety partners at DATCP."

Tim Anderson, Manager of DATCP's Division of Food and Recreational Safety, will present on December 10, alongside WCMA staff. He will highlight the agency's new pandemic inspection protocols, plans to continue timing and sealing services, and inspection debit flexibility secured from the U.S. Department of Agriculture and Food and Drug Administration.
