Cooper, Dopp, Fritsch & Gasper Join the WALSAA Board

The Wisconsin Agriculture & Life Sciences Alumni Association at the University of Wisconsin-Madison has four new members on its board of directors. David Cooper, Pierce Dopp, Taylor Fritsch and Adam Gaspar have joined the WALSAA leadership panel.

Cooper is the former general manager of FarmFirst Dairy Cooperative. He's a University of Wisconsin-Madison dairy science graduate and has participated in several volunteer leadership roles while on campus, locally, and throughout the Wisconsin and national dairy industry.

Dopp is a financial advisor working for BMO Harris Bank. A graduate of the UW-Madison College of Agricultural and Life Sciences animal sciences program, he currently serves on the WALSAA financial management committee.

Fritsch is an associate attorney with Michael Best & Friedrich LLP. A native of southwest Wisconsin, Taylor was a UW-Madison CALS student from 2010 to 2014, graduating with degrees in agriculture and applied economics and life sciences. He then attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln focusing on agricultural and environmental law.

And Gaspar is an agronomy research scientist for Corteva AgriSciences. He received his undergraduate degree from South Dakota State University and a master's and Ph.D. in agronomy from UW-Madison. Adam has been an active agricultural industry and community volunteer and has been a contributing member on several successful fundraising and endowment campaigns.

Meanwhile, Lauren Jorgensen, Joseph Powalisz and Brooke Trustem were chosen as as WALSAA student representatives.

WALSAA plans events for alumni and friends of the College of Ag and Life Sciences and its Farm Industry Short Course.
