The recent wet weather and late harvest has resulted in more fire calls at grain drying facilities this year. The latest occurred on a dairy farm near Alto on Friday, which caused $150,000 in equipment damages and $60,000 in lost corn.

According to the Fond Du Lac County Sheriff's Department, an employee at Double S Dairy reported the blaze in the early morning hours.

Crews from nine different fire departments responded to the fire, along with local EMTs.
