Badgerland Now Offering Electronic Market Information

The Baraboo-based Badgerland Farm Credit Services has announced that it is now offering a new service called Commodities Direct, which will allow agricultural producers the ability to receive Chicago Board of Trade quotes and USDA crop reports sent via text message directly to their cell phones.

Badgerland says upon enrollment, producers can customize their incoming message by selecting frequency (overnight, open, midday, close, etc.), commodities and contract month. Changes can also be made to these selections at any time.

Available commodities include not only crops such as corn and soybeans, but also cheese, meats, oil, gold, silver, unleaded gas and many more.
