Nominations Sought for Governor's Export Achievement Awards
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 11/20/2018

Wisconsin companies that have achieved success in exporting are being encouraged to apply for the 2019 Governor's Export Achievement Award. The program recognizes businesses and organizations that have achieved extraordinary results in international markets or have contributed to the state's ability to compete in the global economy.

Administered by the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, the program has been revamped this year to make it easier to enter. Companies can be nominated by going to: inwisconsin.com/exportawards and describe their recent exporting accomplishments.

The submission should focus on a company's measurable export growth, innovative approaches that set the business apart from other exporters, and any significant contributions that benefit the overall state economy and trade development in Wisconsin.

The deadline for the initial submission is December 21. A panel of international trade experts will review all submissions and come up with a group of semifinalists who will move on to the next stage of the competition and be asked to submit a more detailed application.

Award winners will be recognized at the annual Wisconsin International Trade Conference next spring in Milwaukee.
