Prices Up on NASS Weekly Cheese Survey

Dairy product prices were higher again this on the National Ag Statistics Service's Weekly Cheddar Cheese Survey. The price of 40 pound blocks for Minnesota-Wisconsin averaged $1.52, up two cents from last week's price, while 500 pound barrels were a penny higher at $1.54. The price of U.S. 40-pound blocks were up nearly two cents at $1.47 for the week ending October 31. The barrels were at $1.47, which is also about two cents higher from last week.

Butter prices were up five cents as the price for 25 kilogram and 68 pound boxes meeting USDA Grade AA standards averaged $1.30 per pound for the week.

Nonfat Dry Milk prices fell by over a penny for the week at $1.02 per pound for USDA Extra Grade standards.

And for 'other states,' blocks were up two cents at $1.46, and the barrels were at $1.55, which is about two cents more than the previous week.
