Wisconsin Christmas Tree Arrives at the White House
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 11/21/2017

First Lady Melania Trump was on hand yesterday to accept the official White House Christmas tree, which was a 19-foot tall Balsam Fir grown and harvested in Wisconsin.

David and Jim Chapman of Silent Night Evergreens near Endeavor delivered the tree after being selected as winners of a national contest last summer. The tree will light-up the Blue Room of the Executive Residence during the upcoming holiday season.

This isn't the first time the Chapmans have been selected for the honor. They also provided the White House Christmas tree in 1998 and 2003; and have won numerous Christmas tree contests on the state level.

This is the tenth time in the past 50 years that a tree from Wisconsin has been chosen as the national winner.
