Small Animals Lost in Stratford Barn Fire

Authorities are investigating the cause of a barn fire near Stratford on Monday night that claimed the lives of some chickens and sheep that were being housed in the building.
Fire crews say the blaze was reported after 9:00 p.m. in the Marathon County village.
No people were hurt in the incident.
Firefighters also worked to keep the flames from spreading to a nearby house.
