Wisconsin Ag Outlook Forum Slated for January 21
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 11/30/2015

Agricultural economists and commodity specialists from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and UW-Extension will talk about the financial health of Wisconsin agriculture and the outlook for the year to come at the 9th annual Wisconsin Agricultural Economic Outlook forum in Madison this winter. The event will be held January 21, which coincides with the release of the 2016 edition of the 'Status of Wisconsin Agriculture' report by the UW-Madison Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics.

The day kicks-off with a pre-forum luncheon at 11:30 a.m. and concludes around 2:30 p.m. The forum will then cover an overview of how state farmers fared during the past year, along with a look at how national and worldwide economic events will affect agricultural producers and related companies in the year to come.

Topics on the agenda include farm income; inputs and credit, dairy, livestock, corn and soybeans.

The program takes place from at Varsity Hall III at Union South at the UW-Madison campus. The event is open to the public and costs $15.00 to attend, which includes lunch.
