Other Commodity Prices Were Lower Last Month

The October average price received by farmers for corn in Wisconsin was $3.57 per bushel, according to the latest USDA Agricultural Prices report. This is down a penny from the September price and 15-cents less than October 2014.
Soybean prices averaged $8.56 per bushel, down six-cents from September and $1.54 below the previous October. The October oat price was $1.82 per bushel, down nine-cents for the month and $1.77 below last year.
All hay prices in Wisconsin averaged $85.00 per ton in October, down $6.00 from September and $61.00 less than October 2014. The alfalfa hay price averaged $98.00 per ton, $2.00 below last month and $61.00 lower than 2014.
