Wisconsin Ag Connection - 11/25/2014

Dairyland Power Cooperative has a new president and CEO. The utility's board of directors has hired Barbara Nick to the lead company to replace Bill Berg, who is retiring at the end of the year.

Nick has served as president of Michigan Gas Utilities Corporation and Minnesota Energy Resources Corporation within the Integrys Energy Group. She initially joined Wisconsin Public Service Corporation in 1981 and has held numerous positions.

"Barb brings more than 30 years of diverse professional experience from the electric and gas industry to Dairyland," said Dairyland Board Chair Dan Korn. "We are confident that her strong executive leadership skills, strategic planning ability and overall vast experience in the electric utility will provide continued strong leadership as our cooperative meets the challenges ahead."

Berg has led Dairyland Power since 1990 and has been with the cooperative since 1974.
