Class III Milk Price Announced at $13.72

The USDA announced that the January Class III milk price was released at $13.72 per hundredweight. That was down 72-cents from December's price, and $2.46 below January 2015.

For the entire year, the Class III price averaged $15.80 cwt. in 2015.

Meanwhile, the Class IV price was $2.21 lower than last month's price at $13.31, but was three-cents more than January of last year.

Last week, the USDA announced that Wisconsin farmers received an average price of $17.20 cwt. for their milk in December, about $1.00 less than the previous month, and $3.50 below December's price.
