Holtz & Maas Join the WALSAA Board

The Wisconsin Agriculture & Life Sciences Alumni Association at the University of Wisconsin-Madison has two new members on its board of directors. Helen Holtz and Kay Maas have joined the WALSAA leadership panel.

Holtz completed two years at the Farm and Industry Short Course with the assistance of the Outstanding Student and the Activities and Leadership Awards from WALSAA. Being her passion is in the outdoors and hiking, she has backpacked in every continental state, several territories of Canada, and throughout Central America. Holtz works on her family's beef and lamb farm and has started her own business installing native pollinator habitats and micro prairies.

Maas is a consulting clinical registered dietitian nutritionist. She attended UW-Madison and CALS to earn an undergraduate degree in bacteriology, meat and animal science, and a master's degree in meat and animal Science. Maas and her husband, Duane, live in Pewaukee. She is a lifetime WALSAA member.

WALSAA plans events for alumni and friends of the College of Ag and Life Sciences and its Farm Industry Short Course.
