Meyer Tapped as Manager of East Central/Select Sires
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 12/07/2016

The Waupun-based East Central/Select Sires has hired a new general manager. Jerome Meyer was chosen by the cooperative's board to lead the company after current manager Alan Deming retires next summer.

A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Meyer has been employed with East Central/Select Sires for the past two years as a dairy program manager. Prior to that, he worked for the Holstein Association in the classification department. He has also judged cattle shows throughout the United States and is on the planning committee for the International Post-Secondary Dairy Cattle Judging Contest at World Dairy Expo.

"The board of directors is pleased to have Jerome Meyer as the new general manager of East Central/Select Sires," said ECSS Board President Steve Abel. "We look forward to working with Jerome to keep our cooperative as the leading supplier of high-quality dairy and beef genetics in our market area."

Meyer will work closely with Deming in the coming months to learn the structure, financials and regular activities associated with the company.
