WPA Challenges Members to 'Give a Ham' During the Holidays

The Wisconsin Pork Association is challenging its members to donate a ham to an area family, food bank or other community organization this holiday season. The group is taking part in a pair of national social media campaigns, including the National Pork Producers Council's 'We Care, Give a Ham' challenge and the National Pork Board 'Hams Across America' program.

To participate, a person or a group must create a video or photo with a caption that briefly describes their donation and then post it to Facebook using the hashtags #WeCareGiveAHam and #HamsAcrossAmerica. To keep the challenge going, those recipients are encouraged to challenge other individuals to also make a ham donation.

"We have accepted the #WeCareGiveAHam challenge and will be donating hams to a food bank in our community," said WPA Program Director Mandy Masters. "WPA will also be donating additional pork products later this holiday season too. To keep the challenge going, we challenge our friends at Wisconsin Farm Bureau Federation and all WPA members and Facebook fans to #GiveAHam."
