UW-Madison Short Course to Hold Reunion on January 25

The University of Wisconsin-Madison Farm and Industry Short Course is inviting alumni and friends to help celebrate its 136th anniversary at the program's annual reunion. The gathering will be held January 25 at the American Center, Holiday Inn on West Terrace Drive in Madison.

The event begins with an 11:30 a.m. social hour followed by luncheon at noon and an awards program at 1:00 p.m.

Attendees will also a panel discussion on value-added agriculture with Charlie Crave, Crave Brothers Farm, LLC; Tom Oberhaus, Cozy Nook Farm; and Kara Olson, Little Farmer Meats.

The school's Service to Agriculture Award, Excellence in Teaching Award, and Friend of Short Course Award will be presented.

Volunteers from the Wisconsin Agricultural and Life Science Alumni Association are helping to coordinate the reunion. Registration cost is $35.

Farm and Industry Short Course is a one or two year production agriculture program taught during winter months when it is more convenient to leave a production agriculture operation. There are more than 6,000 program alumni to date.
