UW-Madison Short Course to Hold Reunion in January

The University of Wisconsin-Madison Farm and Industry Short Course is inviting alumni and friends to help celebrate its 134th anniversary at the program's annual reunion. The gathering will be held January 27 at the Coliseum Bar and Banquet in Madison.

The event begins with an 11:15 a.m. social hour followed by luncheon at noon and an awards program at 1:00 p.m.

Attendees will also hear from Farm Broadcaster Pam Jahnke, who is this year's guest speaker, along with Alice in Dairyland Crystal Siemers-Peterman.

The school's Service to Agriculture Award and The Friend of Short Course Award will be presented.

Volunteers from the Wisconsin Agricultural and Life Science Alumni Association are helping to coordinate the reunion. Registration cost is $25 if received by January 20 and $35 thereafter.

Farm and Industry Short Course is a one or two year production agriculture program taught during winter months when it is more convenient to leave a production agriculture operation. There are more than 6,000 program alumni to date.
