Hoyer, Kavazanjian Re-Elected to Serve National Soybean Positions
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 12/15/2014

Two Wisconsin soybean growers will continue their leadership capacities on the national level.

Kevin Hoyer of West Salem was re-elected to the American Soybean Association Executive Committee as one of its four vice-presidents during the group's annual winter meeting last week.

The La Crosse County native served on the ASA board for seven years and has been active in the association since 2003. He served two terms as president of the Wisconsin Soybean Association and is a past participant of the DuPont Young Leader Program. Hoyer has served as an agronomist and location manager at a local ag retail company since 1990.

Meanwhile, Nancy Kavazanjian from Beaver Dam elected to the executive committee of the United Soybean Board. That group is responsible for tracking the progress of checkoff-funded activities to ensure they remain consistent with the organization's long-range strategic plan.

In addition, Kavazanjian was recently named chairperson of U.S. Farmers & Ranchers Alliance, an organization dedicated to leading the national consumer dialogue about how America's food is grown and raised. Previously, she served as a vice chairperson of USFRA which consists of more than 80 farmer and rancher-led organizations and ag partners.
