Walker to Attend Next Trade Mission Trip to China
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 01/04/2013

The State of Wisconsin is organizing another trade mission to China and this time Governor Scott Walker will be going along. The governor's office announced the trip on Thursday, which aims to promote state-made products like water technology and food processing equipment.

During 2011, Wisconsin exported over $1.3 billion in products to the Asian country. He will be joined by representatives of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. and the Department of Agriculture.

Last summer, State Agriculture Secretary Ben Brancel and a delegation from the University of Wisconsin-Madison traveled to China, where they promoted Wisconsin agribusinesses and the products that they produce.

The mission has been scheduled for April 12-21 and will include stops in Beijing, Shanghai, Hefei and Harbin.
