Wisconsin Growers Running for MFA Board
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 12/28/2017

Members of the Midwest Forage Association have the opportunity to vote for one of two Wisconsin crop producers to sit on the group's board of directors.

Incumbent board member John Ruedinger of Van Dyne is being challenged by Wayne Leis from Cashton in a mail-in ballot election this month.

Ruedinger operates a 1,400-cow dairy farm in Fond du Lac County and grows 1,500 acres of corn and alfalfa. Leis is also a dairy producer, who milks 400 cows and grows more than 1,600 acres of corn, beans, hay and small grains.

Meanwhile, Chippewa County Extension Agent Jerry Clark's name is on the ballot, where he is running to retain his position as the University of Wisconsin representative. And Dave Combs is up for re-election for his ex-officio position.

Ballots are due to the MFA office in St. Paul, Minnesota, by January 12.
