State Bison Producers to Meet in Bonduel
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 02/07/2018
Members of the Wisconsin Bison Producers Association will be heading to eastern Wisconsin this month for their annual meeting. The forum will be held February 24 at Doc's Harley in Bonduel.
WBPA leaders say demand for bison meat continues to outpace production, which makes the practice of raising the animals more desirable and profitable.
Topics at the meeting include finding new markets for bison meat and transition the family farm from one generation to the next.
Mike Jacobson of the North American Bison Cooperative will also present his company's vision of the bison industry nationwide.
Organizers say the conference will be beneficial for both new and longtime producers of bison.
