Alice in Dairyland finalists unveiling on March 1, 2024

The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection (DATCP) is set to unveil the top candidates for the esteemed role of the 77th Alice in Dairyland on March 1, 2024. The announcement will take place during a press conference at 11:30 a.m. at The Landmark Resort in Egg Harbor, inviting media attendance for coverage.

The event will feature 76th Alice in Dairyland Ashley Hagenow alongside the prospective candidates. Following the announcement, the candidates will be available for interviews and photo sessions, offering insights into their agricultural perspectives and aspirations for the role.

The three-day Alice in Dairyland Finals are scheduled for May 2-4 in Door County, where the top candidates will undergo evaluation by a three-member interview panel. The evaluation process will encompass showcasing their marketing skills, agricultural knowledge through TV and radio interviews, speeches, writing samples, and public interactions. The highly anticipated unveiling of the 77th Alice in Dairyland will occur on May 4, 2024, at the Stone Harbor Resort in Sturgeon Bay.

The Alice in Dairyland role is a full-time communications position within the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection (DATCP). Supported by partner organizations such as Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin, Kettle Moraine Mink Breeders Association, Wisconsin Corn Promotion Board, Goodman’s Jewelers, Wisconsin Potato Industry Board, Ginseng Board of Wisconsin, and the Wisconsin Beef Council, the program aims to advocate for and promote Wisconsin's vibrant agricultural industry.
