Former WMMB President, Eugene Runde, Passes

Funeral services for Eugene F. "Gene" Runde of Cuba City will be held Thursday. Runde died February 8 at the University of Wisconsin-Hospitals & Clinics in Madison at the age of 81.
Gene spent his life as a dedicated dairy farmer. After high school, he served in the U.S. Navy on the Battleship USS Wisconsin.
A founding member of the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board, Runde served as the check-off program's president for a stint in the 1980s. He was also a member of the NFO.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City. Services for Gene Runde will be held the following day at St. Joseph's Church in Sinsinawa.
