Wisconsin Ag Connection - 02/08/2013
The Baraboo-based Foremost Farms USA has hired a new vice president of Member Services/Milk Marketing. Jim Sleper will be responsible for the marketing of bulk fluid milk, producer programs, member services and regulatory compliance. He comes from the milk supply division at Land O'Lakes, Inc. in
Arden Hills, Minnesota, where he has worked since 2002.
"Jim brings more than 25 years of experience in all aspects of raw milk procurement and marketing as well as dairy economics and Federal Milk Marketing Orders," said Foremost Farms President Dave Fuhrmann. "His skills will help us leverage the strengths of our member services and milk marketing division
and take it to a new level of success."
Sleper is replacing Joe Weis, who will retire from the cooperative in late-March. Sleper will start his new position on February 18 and will report to Fuhrmann.
Foremost Farms is a farmer-owned milk processing and marketing cooperative with annual sales of $1.7 billion.
