Dairy Task Force 2.0 to Hold Teleconferences

The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture has announced nine Wisconsin Dairy Task Force 2.0 sub-committee teleconferences in the coming weeks. The teleconferences will be based at the DATCP building in Madison and are open to the public.

In each teleconference, members will approve minutes of the last meeting, consider draft recommendations and identify next steps. Recommendations generated by the sub-committees will be considered by the Task Force at the next full meeting, scheduled for March 15.

"As the son and grandson of farmers, agriculture and dairy are very personal for me. I am excited and encouraged by the productive discussions happening in these Task Force meetings," said State Ag Secretary Brad Pfaff. "I'm grateful to the members of the Task Force and its sub-committees for their contributions. I look forward to continuing to share ideas, debate issues, and consider solutions."

The dates, times, and locations for each sub-committee are as follows:

** February 11: Markets - 1:00 p.m., Room 472

** February 12: Dairy and Rural Community Vitality - 1:00 p.m., Room 456

** February 14: Consumer Confidence and Perception - 9:00 a.m., Room 456

** February 18: Access to Capital - 9:00 a.m., Room 456

** February 20: Education and Workforce - 2:00 p.m., Room 456

** February 21: Generational Succession and Transition - 1:00 p.m., Room 456

** February 26: Price Volatility and Profitability - 10:00 a.m., Room 411

** February 26: Regulatory Certainty - 1:00 p.m., Room 456

** March 1: Research and Innovation - 1:00 p.m., Room 456
