Applications for Wisconsin FFA Chapter Grants Now Available

FFA chapters in Wisconsin have the opportunity to apply for grant money to help with community service projects or Food for America programming. The funding is being made available through the Wisconsin FFA Foundation, which is encouraging local clubs
to develop individual and cooperative activities to enhance their communities.
Community Service grants are being funded through the Bethany L. Rieth Memorial Fund, which was established after Rieth, a former state FFA officer, passed away in a skiing accident in 2016. These annual grants given in Bethany's name will be awarded to
chapters that want to complete meaningful service projects that make a difference in their communities.
The Food for America Grant is funded by Organic Valley/CROPP Cooperative, Inc. Examples of such projects could include hosting events done in cooperation with another organization to promote healthy foods or eating, or establishing a community garden.
New in 2019, the AgCountry Chapter Grant is available to FFA chapters in the AgCountry service area, located in north-central Wisconsin.
And the Burton H. Morris Chapter Grant and WAXX/Wisconsin Farm Report Network Grant are being made available again this year. The Morris fund is available to FFA programs with a land base in Adams County. And the farm broadcaster grant is for
members who have financial restraints which prevent them from attending the Wisconsin FFA Convention held each June in Madison.
To be eligible for any of the grant programs, FFA chapters must be in good standing with the Wisconsin FFA and submit a completed application.
