Culver's Raises Over $3 Million for 'Thank You Farmers' Fund
Wisconsin Ag Connection - 02/25/2021

The Wisconsin-based Culver's restaurant chain announced it has contributed over $3 million to the National FFA Foundation and other groups since the start of its 'Thank You Farmers' initiative eight years ago. The franchise says the program has connected with people across the nation in its goal to thank family farmers who have made Culver's the business it is today.

"Today's FFA members are tomorrow's ag leaders," said Culver's Marketing Specialist Alison Wedig, who is also a former Wisconsin FFA president. "Many of these students will go on to dedicate their careers to ensuring a sustainable future food supply, so we want to support them and give them a forum to share their voices and passions."

In celebration of National FFA Week, Culver's will support the youth organization by sponsoring its annual FFA Essay Contest. Participants can submit an essay of 1,000 words or less about the lessons the agriculture industry learned from the COVID-19 pandemic. The winner will receive up to $7,500 for their FFA chapter, with the chapters of the second and third place entries receiving $5,000 and $2,500, respectively.

National FFA Week is February 21-28, 2021.
